A Word a Day

Well I have decided to join in with Rhonna Farrer's 21 Day challenge. I have my book I have done my first 2 pages and I have met my challenge the first 2 days as well. So I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself for having a go at something new. My journal is a word a Day journal. I just love words and sometimes it's nice to relect on just one single one at a time. So First and Rare have already happened and the word for today is New.

Book club - well we are meeting tonight - hooray - did not love The Kitchen Gods wife and have moved onto North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. I don't know what our next book club book is yet and North and South may take a while but we will see how we go.

Scrappin wise - I have classes to prepare, articles to write and decisions to make. Sometimes I wish I could see a little farther into the future to be sure that I was making good decisions for me. I have a few goals in mind for my scrapbooking that I need to hammer out but until the lightening bolt strikes I'm just going to try to stay ontop of my "to do list" so that life feels good :)

I don't want to scan and post my journal each day but maybe I'll do a week at a time or something - haven't decided - just loving it for me at the moment.

Here I am

Well I am soooo glad that my new years resolutions had nothing to do with blogging frequency! Have I been super busy - well no not really but I have been occupying myself in fun ways. I have joined a weight loss group - nothing formal and expensive just a goup of gals with a common goal of being a tad healthier and lighter. So me - well I put on weight the first week didn't I. Seems that after my bout of flu my body must have had to replenish some kind of store of something - well that's my theory anyway. So this week I'm hoping for something on the negative side of things.

What else - well I've joined a book group as well and as well as reading my assingned "To Kill a Mocking Bird" - (love this book, but brought back a few too many high school english lesson memories:). I found another book in a second hand book shop that I have been trying to find so that got devoured too. "Sarah" by Orson Scott Card - gorgeous look at women of the Old Testament. Already read "Rebecca" a littl time ago, so just one more to hunt up now!



OK - well blogger won't let me upload my page for some reason :( - DID IT :) - well I did and then it reversed the colours and it looked crap so it is there no more - blogger is giving me the irrits! YAY - well I had it saved in CMYK format instead of RGB - problem solved.

Scrapping - you bet. As well as my too challenge ones from last time I created a brand new layout and revamped an old one and then today I made a page just because. These are pics from a photoshoot in Sydney at Sonia Bowers "Forever Always" retreat.
