Clouds have broken

OK - well holidays are over and its time to get my scrappin butt back into gear. Lots of changes around this house over the next few weeks. Sage off to highschool, Brad with some big changes (still in the cannot reveal stage). Me - well I've set myself some challenges to obviously challenge myself and get some action happening on a few fronts.

As a family we have had some huge "good" news come our way this past week and we are all feeling on the up. Busy and hectic and mayhem as usual but a little brightness in amoungst all of it.

Don't want to sound too dramatic but this one really has made a huge difference for us. Oh so grateful !

Hey ABBA are still cool aren't they? :) Super Trouper rocking away right now . . .

OK - so I publically challenge myself to get 2 pages done this week - will report in soon with my accomplished goal!

Hope 2006 is being kind to you too . . .

May your news be good news

I want to know who starts these things?

4 jobs you've done:

Toyworld - worked here part time for about 6 years - vowed to never turn into one of those desperate excessive Christmas time parents!
Secretary - serviced offices - answering about a billion telephone lines and typing stuff for so many diff. businesses in a day.
Temp-ing - so many different gigs but my fav. was probably Kraft Foods - had a nice boss and was well taken care of - only downer was they were owned by Philip Morris so smoking in the office was A-OK.
Precision Hytec - my Dad's now my brothers business - importing and payroll and accounts.

4 Places you have lived:

Last count about 16 different abodes for me but all in my beloved Melbourne.
Now - I live in heaven - Mt Martha - would stay on the peninsula for good!

TV shows you LOVE to watch:
Amazing race
ER
Survivor
West Wing

4 Places you have been on Vacation:
England
USA
Qld
6 Week trip when I was 16 - USA & England & France & HK

4 websites you visit daily:
depends what mood I'm in and how much time I have

4 of your favorite foods:
salt and vinegar potato chips
roast lamb
seafood
soup

4 places you would rather be right now:
England
England
England
England - just have a hankering for family roots at the moment!

4 bloggers you are tagging:
I refuse to answer on the grounds that it may incriminate me.

Serious allergy exposed :)

Tagged again.

Never in my life - have I been arrested, gotten drunk, smoked a cigarette or wanted to be someone else!

When I was five - we lived in a two storey house with a big play room and a fun staircase to bump down.

High School is - wasted on teenagers. What a fun carefree time and most of us don't realize its worth till later.

I once met - you know I'm pretty sure I've met a few celebs in my life but I can't remember any of them. I am so not into names and fan stuff and obsessing and stuff. Too much else to fill my head and my days with.

Once in a bar - well often in a bar I would get to sit and listen to Brad perform. Fun times, lots of late nights and too much smoke in those days.

Last night - went on a few good samaritan visits (church stuff). Watched some TV and did some more family history.

When I turn left - I see the Christmas tree still to come down, the loungeroom curtains that need finishing and my fav. chair in the house.

When I turn right - I see my scanner and printer, the piano and Sage's sheet music and pictures of Brad and I when we were married.

A better name for me would be - oh just about anything really - never liked Debra :(

I have a heard time understanding - that tasks are better done in the moment they need doing and not when I am forced to do them or else.

You know I like you if - I know enough of your weeknesses to have a little dig now and again.

Take my advice - and tell someone you love them today.

If you spent the night at my home - you would be fed well and too much and made to stay up late with me. Late enough to regret it the next morning.

I always make a point to - have a little down time before going to bed - otherwise it will be an all nighter again and that doesn't sit well with family life (me = bad sleeper)

Not a day goes by that I don't - worry about something. Well I'm not an obsessive worrier but somethings deserve a little worry don't they? I also read, drink a glass of milk, and kiss all my family ever day.

I'd rather lick the belly of a cockroach than - have to drive for a living. Would someone like to be my permanent driver?

And by the way - life is too short to be negative and unhappy. A smile always works.

Come and gone . . . again

Well that was one busy Christmas. Busy but happy which is just the way it should be. Santa was very good to all the very good children in our house.

A mobile phone (with camera!) for Sage. Santa only agreed to this one because of the school bus issue next year.
A set of golf clubs for Taylor - made for a very happy boy - as his was the biggest present of all!
A kitten for Abigial. Well Abby is in kitten heaven. She keeps telling me that she is Boots's (yes - her choice for the name) Mummy and she is being very good with all the cleaning and feeding and such.

In fact the whole family has bonded well with this scrawny little thing. Seems we might just be cat people after all.

Well a double post from me today - I have been tagged again - obviously someone didn't realize I was allergic to tags! (lucky I'm not alergic to cats).

The best of news to all in this new year.
