First 8 of 21 !

OK - here is the cover and first 8 days of my art / word journal. How did that happen - am I a day ahead?

Day 1 - FIRST : steps, just a little begginging. The goal - make art, my art, my own, things that are me.

Day 2 - RARE : yes, this is me a rare picture of me taken by my firnd Ange - thanks Ange for this rare glimpse.

Day 3 - NEW : Love this word - new - can mean so much. To me it means hope and endless possblities. It means I can give myself the chance to start afresh.

Day 4 - BEAUTIFUL : my babies smiles, my husbands strength, my parents love of the Lord. So much to call Beautiful. I just love this word and love the beauty I find in each day. Today it was the cool evening air and the magnificient clouds this morning - So blessed.


Day 5 - JOY : My Abigail is the most joyful person I know, never grumpy or cross or bothered. She has always been our little ray of sunshine. Her little giggle has lately grown into a hearty laugh. She loves life and loves hapiness and we love her!

Day 6 - HERITAGE : For some reason this had to be my word today. I think because I needed extra strength and courage. I have a treasured heritage, one full of trials and heartache and triumph. I hope my children will one day feel the same.

Day 7 - GENTLE : My Taylor may be all boy, but he is the most gentle soul I know. Animals, people, friends, and especially family get to experience his gentle ways. What other 10 year old boy would help his little sister clean her room because he knows Mum is on the war path? I know that he will have this quality for life - I'm so proud.

Day 8 - FRIEND : This man has been my best friend now for many years. I could no live without his wonderful love and support and his remarkable character. Many girlfriends come and go and we have many friends together. But his loyalty is the one I value the most.

So that is it - very simple and very scrappy and not so artistic but this is all I can manage at this point in time. I am getting it done and that is what I am most pleased about. I have also kept my goal going which is even harder but sooo worth it. So my next 21 challenge (and yes, I'm in again), I will make a real art attack of it. But I'm happy with this little slice of me for now!
